Iran movie ‘Azar’ among bestselling titles of week

Iranian movie ‘Azar’ has reached a total sale of 5,189,390,000 Rials after 3weeks of screening.

Directed by Niki Karimi, the movie went on screen 3 weeks ago. It is now among the box office top hits of the week.

The weekend gross for the newly screened movie reached 1,410,670,000 Rials which placed it among bestselling titles of the week.

 Niki Karimi, Hamidreza Azarang, Farid Sajjadi Hosseini, Hasti Mahdavi, Leila Zare, Maedeh Tahmasebi, Pejman Jamshidi and Houman Seyyedi star in the movie.

“I had aspirations for myself. I wanted to become a champion. I wanted to resist what the society imposes on me,” a short synopsis of the movie reads.

‘Azar’ is Iranian actress Niki Karimi’s second production after ‘Night Shift’ while she has also directed three other movies so far.
